Best SEO tips on how to rank high on Alexa with Backlinks

Alexa.com is a very good Webmasters tool which rank blogs/site according to their traffic record which is the number of page views the blog receives. Ever since I downloaded the Alexa firefox extension which also displays page ranks. I’ve come to understand that few of my pages have rank more than others this means the pages that have more visitors rank higher than the others.

   

The Image above is a cropped screenshot on my computer the first bar shows the page rank while the second one shows the Alexa rank. This tool helped me to know which of my pages have the highest rank so as to add more links to it, promote it more to get more rank on it. I decided to share this for you to benefit from it the way I did, although it’s not the main focus of this content.

Alexa deals with traffic, traffic as well have a connection with Backlinks which is one of the important part on Google ranking. All are proportional; when more sites are linking to your blog you tend to have more traffic than blogs with less link. After a few research and long period of examination, I came to understand that Facebook offers no backlink to blogs, so it was something extraordinary that after having about hundred and something visitors on my blog from Facebook, which I have earned so many likes on my fan page, also have a group with active members and have spent so much to earn more likes on my fan page. So if you are still spending to gain more likes on Facebook, note that Facebook cannot give you a backlink but will make you popular. Do not consider this if you sale on Facebook, it’s highly recommended that you get more popular on Facebook to make better sales, so boosting your page is a very good technique keep it up. Backlinks from Forums

Forums are one of the easiest place to get backlinks, only if the forum allows link. It is easy to get backlinks from forums because on forums members are free to create their own thread and have a link to their blog on it. Not more than two hundred estimated clicks on the link from the forum have at least gotten one backlink for you. So getting backlinks from forum is quite good and will be better if you get it from a big forum with many members. I came to understand that some big forums do not allow links on their forum but some do award it as trophy to regular visitors, I don’t think you have anything to lose instead you will get popular on the forum.

Backlinks from other blogs

The only works well if you are targeting bigger blogs. Here you have to contact the blog owner and ask if he/she accepts Guest posts, if yes is the answer then you guys have to agree on some terms which are.

If he/she will allow you to add your link to the post. And

if he will allow you to attach your profile to the blog post.

This because some blogs do not link outside their blog in other words linking to other blog is not their thing, but can allow you to attach your profile on the content.

Another way of getting backlink from other blogs but also works perfectly well for bigger blogs with more traffic is by presenting a good comment not too long and not too short on the blog post with a link redirecting to your blog post which has a connection to what was written on the post you commented on. Obtaining backlinks from pdf documents

This alone gave me seventeen backlinks, here you don’t have to stress you self much. It’s all about uploading pdf document with your link on it to the internet, you don’t have to go typing new contents, instead you can convert some of your blog posts to pdf, open a pdf account and upload the documents for people to download and read.

Obtaining backlinks by linking to other peoples blog

This works but not all the time, because not every blog have backlink notification and some people don’t like linking back. This has to do with linking to people’s blog so that in return they may link back to yours, not every blogger is friendly and none will link to you if you don’t have quality contents.
